Be on the lookout for us in your local Spar shopping centers, businesses, info centers, real estate agencies etc. Please do not hesitate to phone our head office if you would like The GATEWAY Magazine to distribute in your area.
The Brits & Harties Gateway Magazine launched in January 2003, and showed promising growth from the start. With our slogan "For all your advertising needs!" we try and render a service to both our readership and advertisers.
In 2005 exiting changes happened with New Management (CHEMC Publishers) coming on board as well as the prospects of sister magazines joining our exiting venture in advertising towards the end of that year. Gateway joined forces with CHEMC Publishers with the specific objective of wider distribution.
During October & November ‘05 the first editions of the Centurion/Midrand Gateway, Pretoria Gateway and the Western Gateway were launched. The first editions of the Sandton & Randburg, North West, Rustenburg and Alberton & Boksburg launched during February and March of ‘06.
Centurion and Midrand distribution areas were divided in April 2006; Centurion joining the Pretoria Gateway to form the Pretoria & Centurion Gateway. In June ‘06 the Sandton & Randburg became Samrand & Western Areas Gateway, distributing in the Western areas as well. In July and August ‘06 this publication welcomed a new Editor, joined forces with the Ablerton & Boksburg Gateway and changed its distribution areas to Johannesburg and Alberton.
In August and September ‘06 we welcomed the first 52 page targets met by the North West Gateway and the Brits & Harties Gateway. The North West Gateway team, Antonet & Gerrie, took the Rustenburg Gateway under their wing, in September 2006, and oversee both magazines. From April ‘08 the Rustenburg Magazine was edited and run by Tillie and her team until October 2008, when it was handed back to Antonet and her team.
Unfortunately, we regretted having to discontinue the Pretoria- and the Ekurhuleni branches due to their slow growth. We welcomed the opening of The Free State Gateway Magazine in June ‘08 but had to discontinue it in July '09 due to its slow growth in that area.
The Gateway Magazine is distributed at various festivals and expositions in The North West Province. The North West Gateway team organised their stand at Aardklop ‘06 and have been there every year since, with greater success and better exposure for our clients. This same Gateway team then started attending the Thabazimbi Willefees from ‘06, the Omaramba Willefees from ‘07, the Thaba Wildsfees Expo in that same year, the Bella-Bella festival from ‘08, and more recently they started attending the Dome Festival in Parys. We, at the Head Office, thank Antonet, Gerrie and their team for their dedication to attend these events every year.
The Brits & Harties Gateway Magazine experienced a stressful & difficult time during the end of 2008. However, with positive perseverance from their two loyal sales consultants this magazine is stronger than ever before (written in August ‘09).
